Job Description
An Estimator is required to join a well established cladding company. With
over 20 years experience within the construction industry, this company have
established themselves as a market leader, working alongside some of the U.K's
leading main contractors as well as private clients and local authorities.
Joining the Estimating Department and reporting to the Estimating Manager, the
successful candidate's main duties will include:
Price projects from bill of quantities, specifications and drawings
Carry out detailed take offs from drawings
Strive to return all tenders within a given time frame
Carry out all works in good faith and not release any information to a 3rd
party
Promptly respond to any queries clients may have
Liaise with clients, supplier and manufactures to provide the most competitive
cost on a particular project
Attend meetings with clients, manufactures and suppliers
Attend training course set out by the company
Attend inter departmental meetings with Estimating Manager / Commercial
Director as and when required
Attend pre-order meeting with main contractors
Hold handover meeting with other in house departments once and order has been
awarded
Liaise with other departments of the company whilst awarded projects are on
site
Carry out any general admin & filing as required with position
Projects will range in value from £5k through to £4m and the company build
throughout the U.K, however their Head Office is based in Southern England.
