Job Description

Managing Quantity Surveyor is required asap to join one of the U.K's major
civil engineering contractors. Based in Berkshire the successful candidate
will be from a major civils background and rail experience would also be
advantageous.

Reporting directly to the Area Commercial Manager your key duties will
include:
Maintaining excellent communications with contracts managers, project
management and other associated disciplines
Assist in staff matters such as development, competency and retainment
Provide commercial input to contacts with clients representatives
Provide input to risk profiling and management on projects
Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts
and cash flow information
Provide commercial input to project strategy and take part in discussions
regarding project performance
Assist in drafting and promote usage of commercial procedures
Ensure timely production and presentation of adequate levels of applications
in accordance with the conditions of contract
Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project
issues and provide input to area commercial discussions and reviews
Attend project start up and close out meetings
Commercial contact with supply chain partners through contract vetting and
input to subcontract documentation
Deliver commercial training
Liaise with external consultants

Your initial project is within the major civils sector with vast R.C works and
you will be responsible for managing the £35m per year budget.
